Is Durable Medical Equipment (DME) such as wheel chairs covered?
Yes, medically necessary and appropriate DME is covered by NHP. Authorization is required for prosthetics over $1000.00 and DME/orthotics that are over $500.00. There is no coverage if not prior authorized.
