What if I receive medical care out of the service area and the facility requires me to pay for my services?
Some medical facilities not participating with NHP may require payment at the time care is given. Should this happen, send an itemized bill and proof of payment to NHP for reimbursement within 90 days. If the services were rendered in a different country, it is the member’s responsibility to have the itemized bill or claim translated into English as well as obtain the most current rate of exchange. The claim will be processed according to your plan benefits.
