Network Health Plan's 2006 HEDIS & CAHPS Results
Network Health Plan (NHP) is dedicated to providing quality services that promote the health and wellbeing of our members and the communities we serve.
How does a health plan measure quality?
NHP is able to evaluate the quality of care and services provided to its members from a variety of perspectives by utilizing nationally recognized tools such as the Health Plan Employer Data Information Set (HEDIS®) and the Consumer Assessment of Health Plan Survey (CAHPS®) scores.
The HEDIS report is a series of measurements evaluating preventive care as well as care for chronic diseases. The CAHPS survey measures customer satisfaction with physicians, service, and claims processing. These tools are used by employers and consumers to compare the quality of care and service provided by individual health insurance plans nationwide.
In addition, NHP’s Quality Improvement team conducts annual assessments of the adequacy of resources, implements initiatives to promote the delivery of quality health care and services, and works to meet or exceed compliance with regulatory standards.
If you have questions, or would like more information about NHP’s Quality Improvement Program, please call 920-720-1655, or toll-free at 800-826-0940, ext. 1655.
The tables include a sample of NHP’s HEDIS and CAHPS measurement results. The HEDIS table shows just some of the results that are in the 90th percentile. The measurements are compared to national averages derived from more than 200 reporting health plans.
