Ministry Health Care
Ministry Health Care is a 50 percent owner of Affinity Health System and is sponsored by the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother. Ministry Health Care is a regional mission-oriented Catholic health care system founded in 1984 to assure the viability and further development of the Sisters’ ministry. The Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother founded Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh in 1891 and have been providing health care and spiritual aid to Oshkosh area residents over a century. It is among the largest Catholic health care systems in the United States, with 11 hospitals (1,364 acute care beds), long-term and assisted living facilities, home health agencies and community centers in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
