In Wisconsin we are most at risk for Lyme disease between May and August. We have an abundance of fields and woodlands in our area that are home to the ticks that carry the disease.
The number of confirmed Lyme disease cases has risen steadily in Wisconsin since 1990. Starting in 2008, the CDC started tracking probable cases as well:
